MYO-0384: Kalis

Kalis, a somewhat standoffish and impulsive Tatsukoi mage that all but lives in Aurelion's library. As a child, they struggled to find interest in any studies, all of which they found came to them with ease. They quickly lost interest in all but magic, hyperfocusing on it to the point that the elders largely gave up on teaching them anything else. Due to this, Kalis is keen but surprisingly stupid in anything outside of magic and magic-related things.

As a teenager, Kalis yearned to set out on their own adventure, and so they did. They climbed to the second layer, using their magic to ease the burden of travel, and then to the third after. It's been several years since then, and Kalis has settled into Aurelion. They work at the library to pay for their tuition at the college of arcane arts. They often score near the top of the student body in magic-related classes, but are actually close to flunking out because they struggle so much in every other class. Yet, they keep at it, hoping to graduate and get a job where they can do magic and nothing else.

Personality-wise, Kalis is very socially awkward, having never interacted much with other Tatsukoi their age. They're used to being alone and act snappy when others invade their space, even though they're not actually as upset about it as they seem. They don't talk much due to not knowing what to say, but are more than happy to show off their knowledge if given an opportunity.

"The name's Kalis. I'm a librarian here. If you have any questions... I guess you can ask me..."

Kalis has stripes across their body that have begun to fade in places as they've aged. They narrow towards the end of each limb. The only one of their stripes that hasn't changed at all is the one that stretches down their chest and along the underside of their tail. Perhaps due to not going out much, they haven't developed any traits besides the horns they've had since youth.
