Thalina is a poised and perceptive Kampus, drawn to emotional energy like a tuning fork to vibration. While docile by nature, she refuses to tolerate cruelty or injustice, often stepping between her bonded partner and perceived threats—even if it’s just an awkwardly large frog. She’s elegant but stubborn, and once she trusts someone, she becomes fiercely loyal.
She has a tendency to hum—not vocally, but through the soft vibration of her fins against the water. It's said that when Thalina hums, the water around her stills like glass.

🌊 How Lumiora Met Thalina:

It happened on the River of Runes, where the waters glow with bioluminescent script at twilight. Lumiora had just completed a healing rite for a wandering child from Duskmoor, when she heard the panicked splashes of a runaway Kampus—frightened, tangled in drift-netting, and crashing into the shallows near the reeds.

While others shouted and tried to corral the creature, Lumiora approached without a word, simply humming a lullaby she once sang to wounded spirits. The Kampus calmed, fins twitching. When their eyes met, something clicked—a quiet bond forming between soul and soul. Later, Lumiora learned that Thalina had been meant as a royal gift, but after the rescue, the Dawntide nobles declared:

“It seems she’s already chosen her rider.”

From that day on, Thalina refused to be separated from Lumiora—pulling her skiff, joining her travels, even occasionally napping beside her like a giant sea pony with glittering fins.
