feel free to use this for anything in the future!

Deep in the labyrinthe of layer 4 lies Deceptions Hollow. This town is home to a huge market that only opens twice a year. This town is actually nomadic, having a couple different locations throughout layer 4 that it will move between a couple times a year to help prevent word getting out. There seems to be some sort of barrier around the town, making it exceptionally difficult to stumble across unless you are looking for it. The houses in this settlement are mostly tents and bare boxes carved into the walls of the caves. Some of the permanent residents or regular patrons have more elaborate tents or more decorated caves, but when most of them are only there a couple times a year, they generally end up being taken over by another tatsukoi. The town sits fairly empty for most of the year, having a large population boom when the market is about to open. Despite the market being called a black market, most of the residents are collectors and mages, only half of them outlaws. Criminals do attend the market as well, but the items sold there are not exclusively sought after by outlaws. The market sells a varying range of items, usually things that are hard to come by or taboo. While the market isn’t only visited by outlaws, it is still generally attended in secret by other tatsukoi, most of them going by pseudonyms when they are there. Patrons of the market usually have masks on to hide their identities, some even using magic and potions to change their appearances. These items can be found being sold throughout layer 4, usually at cheaper prices than what you may find elsewhere. Despite the town’s nature, crime is very uncommon, criminals afraid of accidentally getting on the wrong side of a powerful mage. If an unsuspecting tatsukoi stumbles upon the market, they will generally be sent along to an outpost. The residents of the hollow are not usually malicious to inexperienced travellers. When there are conflicts, the powerful mages who run the market will settle them. Hoarding mice are known to follow the residents of this outpost, looking to snatch valuable trinkets when they let their guard down. There is a code known only to common patrons of this market that is used by fellow patrons to help locate the market. It is thought that the hollow was founded by a group of powerful mages who were kicked out of their towers, though these are unproven rumors.
