its like a firefly but their lights are much more brighter seen over the day, fluttering around the first layer,r but as sun sets, they flutter up to the second layer there they glow no more as they bathe in moonlight there outer wings blending them into the walls before they flutter back down at sunrise to the glow the area with a sunny like light
they population are in millions and breed very fast other creatures such as bird like once eat them often making them a stable food source for creatures that eat insects in the first layer
some Tatsukoi collect a few for lanterns to take in the fourth layer as they have a keen sense of time they light up in day and dim at night letting them know when it would be best to return home during mining to the third layer
they mainly flock to the lower layers as its better survive climate but Tatsukoi might transport them around for their light use to other layers
random little other thought: they could also be use in timeless clocks, clocks that light up in day and dim at night it could be an older tech version of the modern clock that shows the 12 hours around
