False Gemstones are a species of flower native to layer 2. The gemstone in the center of them is actually their seed and also stores water after it takes root! These flowers only bloom once after 5 years of growing before dying, making their blooms heavily sought after for nobles and collectors. Many inexperienced tatsukoi will try to grab them, thinking they are real gems only to find out they are wrong. False Gemstones have extensive root systems, sometimes taking up nearly all of the spines they grow in! Their gems and petals come in nearly every colour combo there is! These flowers are very difficult to pick, but once picked, as long as they have water, they can last for quite a while!
