The semi-aquatic quadrupeds are often called "Kelppy", but researchers have classified Laminari. Laminari are herbivorous and skittish creatures often found on the banks of rivers, lakes and beaches or near the ocean/falls' edge. They can vary in size depending on the environment, but most are slightly smaller than an earth horse. Lanky and delicate, they are graceful and cautious, running or diving into the water at the smallest sounds. Their colors are usually adapted to the surrounding greenery or color of the waters and some have been seen changing to better fit. Baby Laminari are called "kelpplings" or "kelppy calves".

You are free to use these for worldbuilding and even edit/mess with the design! I do have more ideas for them in different areas and lore, so if you'd like to discuss with me you can! I like these guys a lot sorry lmao
