[WB-FLORAL] Lumavines

Lumavines are deciduous woody vines that attach themselves to vertical surfaces in order to better capture sunlight and sprout.  They are white in color, but bear colorful berries known as "Luma".

The vines themselves grow fairly long from the floor, between 2 to 4 meters long. In healthy conditions, the plant will keep its growth shorter as the distribution of nutrients tends to work more efficiently that way. Luma berries grow in clusters and can produce one to two seeds within each berry.

Lumavines are said to have originated from the Deep Basin, but they exist and thrive in most layers of warmer climates. Many varieties have been developed over the years in all layers, too, due to the Luma berry's great, versatile array of flavors. Each color of Luma equally contains a different flavor that can vaguely resemble other fruits and berries -  they still hold unique enough properties that make such flavors distinguishable.

To successfully grow, Lumavines need warm weather through most of the year,  sunlight, water, and a proper, nutritious soil. The plant will enter a state of dormancy during winter, but cannot handle temperatures under 15ºc  (59ºf).

Luma is popularly used in Tatsukoi culinary in the production of jams, pies, juices, and many types of desserts. It is, however, especially known to be cultivated for its wine. Famous lumayards will save part of their production to create unique wines, and even develop different types of lumas to specifically achieve unique flavor hints, depending on what they desire to achieve.  It is common for new breeds of Luma to present different, unique colors, too.

Luma berries curiously cannot be harvested by day, as when pulled from the vine under sunlight, they tend to explode to spread their seeds. They have a faint glow during the nighttime and can be safely collected without incidents. Once collected, Luma can be consumed directly or packaged and sold without any messy risks.
